Sa'fa (12min, 2025)

Sa'fa "A Frond" is a mesmerising museum film on the palm-weavers of Al-Ahsa Oasis, the largest in the world. With riveting imagery, the film captures the world of Khoos (palm-weaving) and its multi-generational guardians. All while meditating on a landscape that brims with color and wildlife despite temperatures nearing 50C. The film was commissioned by Ithra Museum in Dhahran for "Baseqat: The Palm Tree Exhibition" which runs through March 2026. It is available for festivals and cultural screenings by request.
