This TV-hour-length documentary is the second commission by Tashkeel to follow the six artists who participate in Artists in Residence Program, an annual 3-months residency to produce work for Art Dubai and Sikka Art Fair.

The six artists featured in this year’s program are: Ebtisam Abdulaziz, Reem Falaknaz, Ammar al Attar, Joe Namy, Dina Danish, and Yudi Noor, working alongside curator Bérénice Saliou. This film follows the artists starting in their home countries where they imagine Dubai and its potential influences on their art, then through the process of their multi-disciplinary creations, until the exhibitions at the end of the residency. The film was shot in London, Amsterdam, and Beirut before three months of close documentation within the premises of Al Fahidi (previously Al Bastakiya) in the UAE.
